The Art department were privileged to have an incursion last Friday with artist, Dr Andy Collis. Andy who has previously painted for the Archibald Prize, spent time with the Year 12 class, offering them his expertise on their forming body of works.
The Year 8 and 10 art students were introduced to some of Andy’s artworks and watched in amazement as he painted a portrait of Madeline. The Year 8 art students studied The Archibald and learnt skills to draw the face last term.
This term they are attempting to paint their own portrait. We are excited to see the skills that the Year 8 art class have learnt, as they begin creating their own portrait masterpieces! Goodluck Year 8!
